Summary:

As the audit profession evolves, so too must the people who power it. This joint CA ANZ / IIA NZ workshop delves into the critical role of talent development in shaping the future of assurance, offering a forward-looking perspective on how internal and external auditors can build resilient, skilled, and diverse teams.

Through expert-led discussions, and interactive Q&A, this session will provide actionable strategies for cultivating a future-ready audit workforce that is agile, inclusive, and equipped to deliver assurance in a complex world.

Objectives:

• Identify and evaluate strategies for developing a future-ready audit workforce, including education pathways, upskilling initiatives, and the integration of diverse talent through global mobility and inclusive hiring practices.
• Analyse current and emerging workforce challenges and opportunities-such as evolving career expectations, hybrid work environments, and talent shortages-and apply practical approaches to attract, retain, and empower audit professionals in a rapidly changing assurance landscape
